Participants will learn what has worked with Infection Prevention partnering with SPD (Sterile Processing Department) leadership and how to conquer some of the toughest obstacles together. Topics include decreased IUSS (Immediate Use Steam Sterilization) rates, conquering the decontamination area temperatures, Labor & Delivery soiled instrument issues, pre-cleaning and spraying of instruments before arriving at SPD, general cleaning of the department, construction projects in SPD, regulatory standards compliance, survey readiness, transport of instruments from outside departments and much more!
